Welcome to the web site of the Croydon & Sutton Branch of The Campaign for Real Ale, the UK’s only consumer group dedicated to independent breweries, traditional pubs and real ale. The branch area is that are bounded by the London Boroughs of Croydon and Sutton.
CAMRA campaigns for real ale, real pubs and consumer rights. We are an independent, voluntary organisation with over 150,000 members and have been described as the most successful consumer group in Europe. CAMRA promotes good-quality real ale and pubs, as well as acting as the consumer’s champion in relation to the UK and European beer and drinks industry. We aim to: protect and improve consumer rights; promote quality, choice and value for money; support the public house as a focus of community life; campaign for greater appreciation of traditional beers, ciders and perries as part of our national heritage and culture; seek improvements in all licensed premises and throughout the brewing industry.
Good Beer Guide 2015
The Good Beer Guide is fully revised and updated each year and features pubs across the United Kingdom that serve the best real ale. Now in its 42nd edition, this pub guide is completely independent with listings based entirely on nomination and evaluation by CAMRA members. This means you can be sure that every one of the 4,500 pubs deserves their place, plus they all come recommended by people who know a thing or two about good beer.
