Note to branch members about mailings

Owing to the increasing size of our branch membership, now over 1100, we have outsourced the stuffing and sending out of our letter to members regarding the beer festival to the London Borough of Merton. It is a service they provide, at a charge, utilising equipment that would otherwise be sitting idle.

Over the last couple of years we have received some negative comments from members regarding this. So I would therefore urge you to think before you contact us to complain about the waste of council-tax payer's money in Merton or abuse of work facilities.
Our mailings are using a quite legitimate service!!
Unless of course other members would care to become more active and help stuff and stamp 1100 letters every year........
